Questions and answers about villas at Maya Resort

While there is no washing machine in the villa, we make laundry easy for you. Simply drop your clothes at the reception, and we will arrange cleaning with a professional external service. This is a paid service, and your fresh, dry clothes will be ready for pick-up the next day.
Yes, our villas are equipped with heavy curtains to block out sunlight, ensuring a comfortable sleep for you and midday naps for your children.
Yes, dining is at your fingertips. Our dedicated Resort App allows you to browse the full menu and order breakfast, lunch, dinner, or cocktails directly to your villa with just a few taps.
Forget calling reception. Simply use the "Request Item" feature in our Resort App to order extra blankets, pillows, a hair dryer, or toiletries. Our housekeeping team will deliver them to your door promptly.
Yes, absolutely! We have lightweight strollers, certified safety vests, and armbands ready for you – no need to haul them through the airport. But that's not all. We know how heavy family luggage can get, so we provide over 15 bulky essentials for free. Save space in your suitcase by leaving these at home too: Baby Baths & Potties (hygienic and ready in your room), Bottle Sterilisers & Night Lights (new for 2025!), Sand Toys & Beach Tents. Bophut, Chaweng, and Lamai are widely considered the best neighborhoods for families due to their infrastructure and beach access. Our resort is perfectly located in Bophut, offering a balance of peace and convenience. For a detailed breakdown of each area, read our guide: Choosing the Right Accommodation in Koh Samui for a Family Stay.
Samui is compact, so you can easily explore various beaches. We are located on Bophut Beach, which is calm all year (even in the season of winds) and family-friendly. However, the "best" beach depends on your preference. To help you choose, check out our article: Best Beaches for Families with Kids on Koh Samui.
We enjoy great weather almost all year round! The only time to be cautious is during the peak rainy season (typically late October to December). For the rest of the year, it's sunny and tropical. For more details, see our blog: Koh Samui Weather: A Practical Seasonal Guide for Families.
To truly relax and see the island without rushing, we recommend a stay of at least 5 to 7 days. This gives you enough time to enjoy the beaches, visit the Elephant Sanctuary, and take a boat trip to Ang Thong Marine Park.
The breeziest months are December and February, which bring refreshing air but sometimes higher waves on the beaches. But our Bophut beach is covered from that wind and the West wind. The sea all around Samui is calmest and flattest from March to October, ideal for swimming with small children.
